Columbo Picture Relation

"Nobody knows the troubles I've seen" (Hillary Clinton). This picture represents my views on the Christopher Columbus piece. Christopher Columbus's letters seemed to be aiming in a certain direction, sympathy. He used pathos to get his audience attached and feel sorry for what happened to him. He described his experience and stated that he was "made a prisoner". He continues to write about his horrible ordeal "thrown into a ship, laden with fetters, stripped to the skin, very ill-treated, and without being tried or condemned" (Jane). He had a reputation as a high classed person and he was stripped of his clothes. "I am so ruined". That must of added to his urged to have someone feel sorry for him. He ultimately stripped the Native Americans of their "clothing" when he brought unneeded attention to North America. As he goes on he says that the people who did this to should be punished because he did this not for the wealth or honor but to bring forth change, so weep for him "whoever has charity, truth, and justice" (Jane).
